10 Months In

Summary

Missed a few months of blog updates due to a lack of motivation. I struggled with my goals and procrastinated like hell but, that’s life I guess…

Still have more money than when I left my job 10 months ago thanks to good market conditions in the investing/crypto world. Have enough runway for another 2-4 years+ as long as I don’t go too wild.

So where am I at now?

Highlights From The Last Few Months

Found that struggling with accountability is my biggest issue – not that I didn’t know that already but it really hit home the last few months. My goals set just didn’t seem appealing when there was no real deadline, no one was caring if I did the tasks or not, etc. While some customers helped me focus my efforts on my current projects, the lack of new customers/ pain in the ass to onboard new customers made me re-consider and ask myself was this the best use of my time. (The answer seemed to be, maybe not)

On the positive side, I got through 4 months of German and now have an A2/B1 level (which gets better with alcohol consumed!)

While co-working at my friend’s place we got talking about the industry he was working in and thought there was scope there for an interesting business. So after exploring the area/idea a bit we decided we’d work together on a new project.

I’m happy to have someone else to work with after many months and his skills complement mine nicely, growth/content marketing with a bit of tech too. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do together and if it doesn’t work out I’m sure we’ll learn a lot along the way!

Goals for next month

  1. Get an MVP working and get some beta testers for our new product.
  2. Keep improving my German, try to pick up another German friend or two.
  3. Do a fitness challenge or two to keep me in somewhat good shape – I have got a half marathon planned and might do a 40k or 80k running challenge too
